Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Faces $27 Billion Deficit Amid Winter Preparations

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has utilized the allocated budget funds for this year; however, the overall deficit currently stands at $27 billion, according to President Zelensky. The country requires at least 300 Patriot missiles to endure the upcoming winter. Meanwhile, Russia is attempting to impose a complete blockade on the maritime corridor, yet 3 to 4 vessels continue to transit daily. Ukraine is exploring various options for securing the corridor, including negotiations with Russia and enhancing its air defense capabilities.
