Three drivers received penalty points on their licenses following the Dutch Grand Prix: Franco Colapinto, Arvid Lindblad, and Liam Lawson. The drivers finished the race in 14th, 12th, and 7th places, respectively.
The penalties were issued due to violations committed under yellow flags. According to current regulations, if a driver accumulates 12 penalty points on their license within 12 months, they will be banned from participating in the next race. However, none of the three penalized drivers are at risk of suspension at this time.
Drivers Penalized Following Dutch Grand Prix
Franco Colapinto received two penalty points for overtaking Yuki Tsunoda under yellow flags at Turn 14 during the first lap, as yellow flags were displayed due to Max Verstappen’s accident. He later received an additional point for another incident later in the race for failing to slow down under yellow flags. Prior to this race, Colapinto had one penalty point, bringing his total to four, according to sportal.bg.
Arvid Lindblad was also sanctioned with two penalty points for the same infraction as Colapinto, but he overtook Pierre Gasly. This marks the first penalty points of his career. Notably, both drivers were penalized during the Dutch Grand Prix.
Liam Lawson received a 10-second penalty as well as one penalty point on his license for failing to reduce speed under yellow flags due to the same incident involving Esteban Ocon’s Haas car stopping at Turn 3. Lawson has accumulated three penalty points within the last 12 months.
