Parents of Suspect in Tragic Child Deaths Raise Nearly $1 Million

In January 2023, a tragic incident occurred involving the deaths of three children: five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan. The suspect, Clancy, has admitted that she may have suffocated them and now faces three counts of serious crimes, which could lead to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole if convicted.

Defense attorneys argue that Clancy should not be held criminally responsible, claiming she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis and other mental health issues exacerbated by strong medications prescribed by doctors at the time of the tragedy.

Just six days ago, a fundraising campaign was launched to assist Clancy’s parents, Polly and Mike Masgrow, and it has already sparked considerable discussion. Organizers state that the couple has spent their entire life and retirement savings over the past three years due to ongoing legal battles and investigations, incurring costs related to constant relocations and housing near the court to support their daughter.

Campaign authors urge the public to refrain from debating Clancy’s guilt and instead focus solely on supporting her parents, who are facing financial ruin. Donations are reportedly coming in from around the globe, including Belize, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Organizers emphasize that once the legal proceedings conclude, the parents will need to rebuild their financial stability, which they had cultivated over decades.
