Members of the 121st Brigade have remained on the front lines in the Zaporizhia sector for five months without rotation, facing extreme hardships that include being forced to drink their own urine, according to reports. Initially, they were told they would serve for only one month, replacing troops who had gone eight months without rotation. Soldiers are reportedly enduring days without food and water and have made a plea to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Drahmaty for an evacuation corridor from their positions.
However, brigade command insists that the information shared in the soldiers’ video appeal does not reflect the full circumstances, claiming that the troops are adequately supplied. Following the release of the video, relatives of the soldiers reported a sudden loss of communication with their loved ones, raising concerns that the command is attempting to suppress further exposure of the situation.
