Goalkeeper David Lazar, aged 35, maintained a clean sheet in the scoreless draw between Sepsi and FCSB. He expressed that the newly promoted team felt they had “lost two points” based on the chances created by both sides.
Since joining Sepsi this summer, Lazar has successfully kept his goal intact in two out of four matches while conceding only two goals in total.
During the match on Monday night, Lazar delivered an impressive performance, making five saves, including a crucial stop against Juri Cisotti in the 27th minute.
Despite the clean sheet, Lazar believes his team deserved to win based on the quality of their opportunities.

“It’s a draw that boosts confidence, but we had many chances. I don’t know when we will have them like that again. It’s a shame. I think we lost two points today,” Lazar remarked post-match.
“We stepped onto the pitch hoping to secure all three points. It leaves a slightly bitter taste that we couldn’t achieve that, but we hope to be more focused in front of goal in our upcoming matches, and I am sure the ball will find its way into the net,” he added.
“We came in very motivated. Perhaps they didn’t expect us to be so aggressive. I truly believe we lost two points today,” Lazar told reporters in the mixed zone.
The Sepsi goalkeeper also commented on team dynamics, stating, “Several new players have joined, and I believe each one of us understands what Sepsi means, the history it carries with cups and supercups. We’ve integrated very well into the team.”
