Travel Warning for Romanians Visiting Spain Amid Severe Wildfire Risks

Romanians currently in or planning to visit Spain are being cautioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) about an escalating risk of wildfires, reaching extreme levels amid a forecasted heatwave expected to last until at least Sunday, August 2.

The MAE indicates that the wildfire risk particularly affects river valleys in the southwestern region, the Ebro Valley, northeastern depressions, the Pyrenees valleys, and the Canary Islands, compounded by strong winds and low humidity.

Citizens are urged to strictly adhere to local authorities’ instructions, including any evacuation orders, travel restrictions, and public safety recommendations.
