The tennis tournament of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles is set to commence just three days following the conclusion of Wimbledon, creating a tight schedule for players to travel to the United States and prepare for their matches.
This edition of Wimbledon will take place from July 3 to July 16, with the penultimate day reserved for the women’s final and the last day for the men’s final. The Olympic Games will also be held in summer 2028, with the International Tennis Federation announcing that the tennis tournament will occur from July 19 to July 28 in the Carson Zone.

Thus, Olympic tennis competition will begin merely three days after Wimbledon ends. The first day will feature only mixed doubles matches, concluding on July 21.
At the 2028 Olympics, the singles events will include 64 players (with a maximum of four from each country), while doubles events will comprise 32 teams (with a maximum of two from each country). The mixed doubles competition will have 16 teams (with a maximum of one from each country).
On June 12, 2028, following the conclusion of the French Open, the Olympic participant list will be established based on the world rankings. The finals are scheduled for July 27-28 at the Carson Zone, which will also host other sports, including rugby sevens, archery, track cycling, and field hockey.
