Carlos Mora Remains Optimistic After Universitatea Craiova’s Loss to Levski Sofia

Universitatea Craiova suffered a 0-1 defeat in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the Champions League against Levski Sofia. Despite the setback, Carlos Mora holds firm belief that the team can overturn the result in the return match scheduled to take place at home.
The only goal of the match came in the 8th minute when Bulgarian captain Kristian Dimitrov scored with a header. The return leg between Universitatea Craiova and Levski Sofia is set for Wednesday, July 29, at 20:30 on the “Ion Oblemenco” stadium.
Carlos Mora on Levski – Craiova 1-0: “Chances Remain 100% for Us”
After the match in Bulgaria, Mora acknowledged that his team had good moments but failed to capitalize on their opportunities. “I feel good. I think we dominated at the beginning, and in the second half, we created a few dangerous attacks, but unfortunately, the match did not go our way. Now, we can’t change anything; we must focus on the return leg, but first, we have a game against Dinamo. All our focus is on that game. We take it one match at a time, and after we finish the Dinamo match, we’ll have time to analyze the return leg. We know we are strong at home, and we need to play our game,” Mora stated during an interview on Digi Sport’s “Fotbal Club.”
Message in Romanian for Craiova Fans
During the match in Sofia, Mora experienced discomfort after receiving a blow but confirms he is feeling well now: “I feel good now. I felt something when I was hit, but now I’m okay. I will go to check with the doctor and hope everything is fine.”
At the end of the flash interview, the Costa Rican international sent a message in Romanian to the supporters of Universitatea Craiova: “Hai, Craiova! It can be done at home, alongside our supporters. Hai, Craiova!”
