A recent Russian missile strike has obliterated the Knygolav publishing warehouse, resulting in the loss of approximately 250,000 books. Fortunately, no employees were harmed in the attack.
Knygolav has warned that this significant loss may lead to temporary delays in fulfilling orders. The team is currently working diligently to restore operations as quickly as possible.
In a statement, the publishing house emphasized, “Russia repeatedly demonstrates that it is waging war not only against people but also against Ukrainian culture, education, and our future.”
Svetlana Paveletska, co-founder of Knygolav, reported in a video message that three Iskander missiles targeted the warehouse. She expressed the painful impact of the loss, stating, “This is pain because this is our work. Unfortunately, these books will not soon find their way to your shelves. We will somehow rebuild; everything will be fine. I want to urge you to support each other, support businesses, and those who remain, work, and strive to develop the country, because this is just, honestly, some kind of disaster.”
