Florin Bratu Signs with FK Partizani Tirana as Head Coach

Florin Bratu, 46, has officially signed with FK Partizani Tirana, a club that finished fifth in the Albanian league last season. His appointment as head coach was announced on Monday.

Bratu’s contract with FK Partizani Tirana is valid for one season, with an option to extend for another. Club officials highlighted his extensive background as both a player and coach in Romania and Cyprus, along with his experience leading the Romanian U21 national team. They emphasized that he will implement a new project for the team in the 2026-2027 season.
“Welcome Florin Daniel Bratu! FK Partizani officially announces the agreement with coach Florin Daniel Bratu. The 46-year-old from Romania, presented today by president Gazment Demi, will lead the team into the new 2026 – 2027 season. With a rich coaching career in Romania and Cyprus, as well as experience with the Romanian U-21 national team, Bratu is set to embark on his first venture in the Albanian league, having signed a one-plus-one contract and aims to initiate an ambitious winning project,” stated Partizani Albania in their announcement.
Initially reported, Bratu’s contract with his previous club had come to an end, leading him to seek opportunities abroad following the return of Ianis Zicu to the team.
Having arrived in Albania, Bratu has officially signed the contract with FK Partizani Tirana and had his formal presentation scheduled for Monday.
Bratu’s Coaching Background
For “Mitraliera,” this marks his second coaching spell abroad after previously managing Karmiotissa in Cyprus in 2023.
Throughout his coaching career, the former striker for Dinamo and Rapid has led teams including Dinamo, Romania U18, Romania U21, CS Tunari, Aerostar Bacău, Concordia Chiajna, Karmiotissa, and CS Dinamo.
FK Partizani Tirana boasts a squad value of €5.95 million, marking Bratu’s new chapter in his coaching journey.
Last season, Partizani finished fifth in the Albanian league and missed out on playoff qualification. They were also eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Albanian Cup.
Partizani is one of the most successful clubs in Albania, with 17 league titles, 15 Albanian Cups, and three Super Cups to their name. Their most recent championship was clinched in 2023.
