Trump Claims Netanyahu Knows Who’s in Charge Ahead of Visit

Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit the White House as early as next week, according to remarks made by President Donald Trump on Saturday. During a brief telephone conversation with the American publication Axios, Trump mentioned that the Israeli Prime Minister understands which of the two leaders is “in charge.”

Trump stated, “We have a very good understanding. (Netanyahu) knows who is the boss.” Despite being the United States’ primary ally, Trump has publicly criticized Netanyahu several times in recent weeks, particularly following Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has jeopardized negotiations with Iran.
