FCSB’s Transfer Deal at Risk as Gigi Becali Raises Concerns

Gigi Becali, the 68-year-old owner of FCSB, has expressed concern that a planned €1 million transfer for an attacker is in jeopardy. Just a day earlier, he had announced reaching an agreement with the player, with only final details pending.

However, the situation has become complicated within 24 hours. Becali claims a journalist contacted the player, sharing negative information about FCSB, which has raised doubts regarding the transfer.

Gigi Becali: “Negotiations with the Attacker are Still Open!”

The FCSB financier indicated that Mihai Stoica would leave the team’s training camp to meet with the player personally in an effort to unblock negotiations.

Becali remains hopeful that the transfer will proceed and the attacker will ultimately accept the offer. “Negotiations with the attacker are not finalized. Someone from the press directly contacted the player, but we will find out more. They have created obstacles. The player is now hesitant about moving. There are individuals with their own issues and frustrations. I won’t disclose the player’s nationality at this time,” Becali stated, according to digisport.ro.

Currently, the only confirmed transfer by FCSB during this mercato period is Ronny Labonne, a 28-year-old right-back from France.

In the attacking department, FCSB is relying on Daniel Bîrligea and Alexandru Stoian. Denis Drăguș, 26, is also on the transfer list as FCSB seeks to strengthen its offense, with Romanian international player from Trabzonspor being a primary target for their attack bolstering efforts.
