Warning: Scammers Targeting Individuals with Fake Aid Schemes

Warning: Scammers are on the prowl! They are accessing accounts and stealing funds under the guise of ‘quick aid’ payments, according to reports. How does this scheme work? Victims receive a message about a ‘fast payout’ and are lured to click on a link; this link directs them to a counterfeit website that closely mimics the design of official services like Diia or eAid, and may also utilize the Mastercard logo and state emblems.

On this fraudulent site, users are prompted to select their bank (such as Privat24, Oschadbank, or monobank) for ‘instant fund transfers.’ Once victims enter their information and confirm the transaction using a code from an SMS or banking app—believing they are receiving a payout—the scammers seize access to their accounts and steal their money. It’s crucial to avoid clicking on suspicious links and never enter banking details on unverified sites. Share this warning with others!
