US Vice President JD Vance Prepares for Iran Negotiations in Switzerland

US Vice President JD Vance announced on Saturday his upcoming trip to Switzerland, where negotiations between the United States and Iran are set to take place. The goal is to achieve a comprehensive agreement that will finally bring an end to the ongoing war, following a ceasefire memorandum signed earlier this week, according to reports from AFP.
During an interview with Fox News, Vance remarked, “You know there is always a delicate ballet of coordination and diplomatic protocols.” He confessed, “To be honest, I don’t really understand these things. I have never liked diplomatic protocols. My attitude is, ‘let’s go on the ground to truly solve these issues,’ but they want to perform a delicate ballet.”
Vance further elaborated on the negotiations, noting that both Qataris and Pakistanis aim to conduct the discussions appropriately, hence his intention to be respectful during the process.
