The system, covering an area of 13.3 thousand hectares, was erected in the Taklamakan desert. Each year, the solar farm will generate more than 6 billion kWh per year (enough to power two million electric vehicles annually).
Construction cost about 15.45 billion yuan (188 billion rubles).
