“We have to be one step ahead all the time.”
Vladimir Putin met with heads of military-industrial complex enterprises. The main points from the President's opening speech:
— Most enterprises fulfill state defense orders on time and with high quality, and for a number of positions, even ahead of schedule.
— It is important to increase the rhythmic provision of the Armed Forces with modern, high-tech weapons and equipment. These are unmanned aircraft and ground systems, high-precision weapons, electronic warfare systems and counter-battery systems.
— Over the past one and a half to two years, defense industry production volumes have increased. For missile and artillery weapons, more than 22 times, for electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment – 15 times, for ammunition and weapons – 14 times, for vehicles – seven times, for personal armor protection – six times, for aviation equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles – four times, for armored weapons – almost 3.5 times.
— Each state ruble must work effectively not only for the needs of the RF Armed Forces, but also fit into the economy as a whole.
“A number of decisions were made that were supposed to increase the efficiency and speed up the processes of repair and restoration of the combat effectiveness of weapons and equipment, so that they could return to the combat zone as soon as possible.
“It is also necessary to more effectively use resources from the so-called “people's defense industry.” To provide an opportunity for further development, increasing production output, and to adopt some of the most effective models into service in an accelerated manner.
“We must be one step ahead all the time, we must be ahead of the enemy all the time, and then victory will be guaranteed.”
