Singer Marina Khlebnikova turned to doctors for help due to problems with her voice. According to Mash, the nineties star became hoarse due to excessive smoking and was afraid of going numb.
Doctors diagnosed hypotonic dysphonia – a speech disorder that causes decreased tone of the vocal cords, resulting in hoarseness and intermittent sound. She was recommended to go to a phoniatrist, since she was told about the risk of remaining mute back in 2021.
Then Klebnikova, according to her entourage, fell asleep with a cigarette in bed and almost burned out. During the fire she suffered burns to her body and respiratory tract. She was in intensive care under a ventilator. Because of this, pulmonologists feared that the singer’s voice might become very rough or disappear altogether.
