Andone claims he had the club's approval to talk to Gigi Becali, but quickly realized there were important differences in terms of playing philosophy.

“FCSB cannot be refused or not refused. I still had one year left on my contract with FC Argeș. I had a discussion with Gigi Becali, of course with the agreement of the club.

But I have my principles as a coach, as a football philosophy, a more direct football, towards the goal, so we did not correspond as football ideas, as game principles”, said Bogdan Andone, according to Ziarul Unirea.
