A 17-year-old resident of Novosibirsk, who is accused of participating in a fraudulent scheme, will appear in court in Minusinsk. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.

According to investigators, in February the teenager was looking for a part-time job and received an offer in one of the instant messengers. The unknown person promised him easy money, payment for travel and money for carrying out simple errands.

At this time, the scammers called a resident of Minusinsk. They introduced themselves as law enforcement officers and convinced the woman that her personal data had been leaked and that the money could allegedly be connected to illegal transactions. Then the scammers said that the savings urgently needed to be “declared” and their legal origin confirmed. The frightened woman collected rubles, dollars and euros totaling more than 1.6 million rubles.

A 17-year-old courier came to Minusinsk from Novosibirsk to pick up money. According to the instructions, he said the code word, took the bag with the money, and then left it on the bench in the appointed place, took a photo and left. Later, another participant in the scheme took the money. The teenager himself received about 15 thousand rubles for his role.

According to the prosecutor's office, the minor understood that he was participating in an illegal scheme. The prosecutor confirmed the charge under article of fraud. The case will be considered by the Minusinsk City Court.
