In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, since the beginning of 2026, based on Rosselkhoznadzor materials, more than 150 hectares of agricultural land have been confiscated, which were not used for their intended purpose. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Since the beginning of the year, specialists have examined 90.6 thousand hectares of land. On an area of 36.8 thousand hectares, signs of overgrowing with weeds, trees and shrubs were found. 789 warnings were issued to property owners and tenants. They also issued 89 orders to eliminate violations.

Plot owners were told that the land needed to be cleared of weeds and used for agriculture. For example, for growing crops, mowing hay or grazing livestock. If a site is not used for three years or more, and the requirements are not followed, Rosselkhoznadzor may initiate its seizure.

Since the beginning of the year, the department has sent materials for the seizure of 12 unused plots with a total area of 388.1 hectares. After this, such lands can be sold at public auction. In addition, in 2026, according to the department’s materials, 15 plots with an area of 150.9 hectares were already confiscated through the court. They were not used for their intended purpose for more than three years in a row.

Rosselkhoznadzor reminded that agricultural land must be used for its intended purpose. Otherwise, the owner may lose the right to the site.
