A Krasnoyarsk woman almost bought tickets to a non-existent performance based on a tip from an online friend

A resident of Krasnoyarsk almost bought fake tickets for a touring show. She shared her story with sibnovosti.ru.
An acquaintance with whom she had recently started communicating online told the girl about the play “The London Show.” She allegedly already bought a place in the hall and sent a link to a website selling tickets, inviting her to join her.
However, Krasnoyarsk did not find any information about the upcoming event on other ticket platforms. When she wrote to a friend about this, she suggested either buying a ticket at the GorDK ticket office or paying online.
The girl chose online payment and entered her first name, last name and phone number on the site. Immediately after this, her device received a barrage of SMS messages with verification codes from various services. The attack continued for a whole day. Fortunately, the Krasnoyarsk resident did not pay for anything and decided to play it safe: she called the City Palace of Culture, where they confirmed to her that no “London show” was planned in the near future.
