Cristian Romero looks set to leave Spurs after a second consecutive season in which the team finished 17th (out of 20) in the Premier League.
The Argentina international has already been in talks with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and more recently, reports of Manchester United's interest have emerged in the Argentine media.
At Manchester United, the couple Cristian Romero – Lisandro Martinez from the Argentine national team could be restored
Daily Clarin wrote that United would like to buy the defender to strengthen their defense ahead of their return to the Champions League. Should Romero, 28, move to United, he would re-form Argentina's 2022 World Cup centre-back pairing with Lisandro Martinez.
The two played together 17 times for the national team, matches in which Argentina only lost once! Instead, he won the world title in Qatar.
Romero's departure could be a new chance for Radu Drăgușin at Tottenham. For now, it is not clear what will happen to the Romanian international this summer.
Tottenham would give Radu Drăgusin to Fiorentina at the market share, if the Viola formation does him a favor
On Monday, the English press reported that Spurs would agree to lower their demands to sell Drăgușin below 20 million euros, towards the current market share (16 million), if Fiorentina will do him a favor in exchange.
Specifically, the proposal would be to keep Manor Solomon, who the Londoners do not want back, after he was loaned to the Viola formation last season. The Serie A team does not want to transfer him permanently, considering that the purchase option stipulated by the clause set in January 2026 is too high: 10 million euros.
On the other hand, Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi intends to bring fresh air to the defense anyway. There is talk of Argentine Marcos Nicolas Senesi (Bournemouth) and Dutchman Jan Paul van Hecke of Brighton, the Italian's former team.
