šŸšŽ AFTER the scandal involving the purchase of trolleybuses for UAH 306 million, “Kyivpastrans” is preparing a NEW tender – up to EUR 50 million. Now with the funds of the European Investment Bank. — mass media
This is a large-scale purchase of electric transport within the framework of the Kyiv City Urban Electric Transport Project. As noted, financing is planned with the participation of the European Investment Bank.
Activist and political expert Mykhailo Schneider drew attention to the new tender. According to him, the purchase may include not only trolleybuses, but also service, spare parts and staff training. The implementation of the contract, as reported, could last almost 20 months.

The situation attracted attention against the background of the previous purchase of 16 trolleybuses for Kyiv for over UAH 306 million, which was previously reported by journalists. The publications noted that the cost was higher than in similar purchases in other cities of Ukraine. After publicity, the State Audit Service joined the inspection.
Now attention is focused on the issue of transparency in the use of international financing and formation of the cost of future procurement.
After all, this time it is not about millions of hryvnias, but about tens of millions of euros. šŸ’¶
