The former great player of the “dogs” will follow Zeljko Kopic in the new team. The Croatian technician officially parted ways with Dinamo at the end of last week.

Meanwhile, the management of the red and whites appointed the Portuguese as head coach Nuno Campos.

After Kopic's departure, Dinamo is now also parting ways with Florentin Petre, although he extended his contract just two months ago (April 1), until 2028.

Andrei Nicolescu confirmed the departure of Florentin Petre from Dinamo: “His contract ends”

Nicolescu explained that Florentin Petre's agreement with the club ended with the separation from Zeljko Kopic, and the two will continue their collaboration at the new destination of the Croatian coach.

The signs of separation were visible since the last few days. Hungarian press wrote on Saturday that Nuno Campos will come to Bucharest together with two collaborators from his staff, which indicated that Florentin Petre's future at Dinamo was already decided.

“Yes, his contract ends when Kopic's contract ends. It's a choice they made together. Now, about their relationship, it is a special one that they know better to manage“, said Andrei Nicolescu, according to fanatik.ro.

  • Florentin Petre (50 years old), Kopic's “second”, has been active in this position at Dinamo since the summer of 2024, coming from Unirea Ungheni, a team from the second division at the time, where he held the position of head coach.

Today, we are happy to announce that Florentin Petre has extended his contract with Dinamo until 30.06.2028! We are glad to have you by our side, Florentin, and we wish you good luck on your way to new trophies!
