Singapore authorities have approved the consumption of 16 species of insects as food, as well as their import. Singapore Food Authority (SFA) said
With the publication of this document, the import of insects and products from them is allowed both for human consumption and for feeding animals on farms and in production.
The list of approved species includes, but is not limited to, crickets, grasshoppers, locusts, mealworms, honey bees, and silkworms.
