After June 5, tomatoes – urgently: 1 gr. into the water and spray – there will be no late blight until the fall

In mid-summer, late blight becomes the most dangerous enemy of tomatoes. But there is a reliable, inexpensive and safe method to protect plants. And no chemicals need to be used. You only need one gram of boric acid in a special solution. Tomatoes will remain healthy until autumn. The recipe was shared by the author of the YouTube channel “BEAUTIFUL GARDEN and VEGETABLE VEGETABLE” (12+).

How to prepare a miracle remedy for late blight

What you will need:

  • 9 liters of warm, settled water;
  • 1 liter of milk (any percentage of fat content will do);
  • 1 gram of boric acid (it is sold in pharmacies and garden stores);
  • 8 drops of iodine (optional ingredient, but it enhances the effect).

Cooking instructions

Dissolve 1 gram of boric acid in a small volume of warm water – otherwise the crystals will not disperse completely. The resulting solution is poured into 9 liters of water and mixed. Then add 1 liter of milk and mix everything thoroughly again. If you decide to use iodine, add 8 drops and mix again. The finished mixture is poured into a sprayer.

When and how to process tomatoes

Three treatments are carried out per season:

  • at the beginning of the appearance of buds;
  • during active flowering;
  • at the moment when the first fruits are set.

Spraying rules

It is best to treat plants in the morning or evening, or in cloudy weather. Leaves and buds are sprayed from above, paying special attention to the upper part of the bushes. There is no need to water at the root: just cover the green mass with the solution. You cannot process it on a sunny afternoon: drops of water can act like lenses and leave burns on the leaves.

Personal experience

“This was in 2025. I got used to the fact that tomatoes needed to be watered with potassium, nitrogen and ash. But I still decided. After the first treatment, I noticed that the lower leaves stopped turning black. I did all three sprayings according to schedule, and by the end of August everything was fine with the harvest. I collected a lot of tasty and sweet tomatoes.”
