The “Theater Train” made a stop in Krasnoyarsk

4 June 20:20

Krasnoyarsk became one of 25 stops on the eastern route of the Theater Train. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

On June 2, artists from theaters in the Irkutsk region, the Altai and Khakassia republics arrived in the regional capital. Prior to this, the project participants had already presented their productions in nine cities of Russia. The guests were greeted with a festive concert at the railway station. The folk song ensemble “Krasny Yar”, the theater company “Proscenium” and the folk theater “Ladov Den” performed for them.

“I am sure that it was no coincidence that Krasnoyarsk became one of the cities on the route of the Theater Train. We have wonderful theaters, many of them are laureates of prestigious theater festivals. Our productions have won recognition at the all-Russian level, but most importantly, Krasnoyarsk residents love them,” noted the region’s Minister of Culture Arkady Zinov.

As part of the project, a photo exhibition about theatrical art and professions, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, opened in Krasnoyarsk. The theater program in the region included 10 performances by theaters from Irkutsk, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Zheleznogorsk and Abakan. The Krasnoyarsk Brass Band also performed for residents and guests of the city on the porch of the Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin.

In addition, Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Askar Abdrazakov held a creative meeting and master class for students of the Krasnoyarsk College of Arts and Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical College No. 1.

After a stop in Krasnoyarsk, the train continued its route to Moscow. Artists from the Krasnoyarsk Territory also went to neighboring cities. In Kemerovo and Tomsk they will show the performances “The Captain’s Daughter”, “Mashenka and the Bear” and “Immanuel Ch”.
