China may launch a military operation to seize Taiwan in the coming years. And this will cause a huge consumer shock throughout the Western world. To the point that a resident of the US or EU will not be able to buy a microwave, hairdryer or smartphone.
This forecast was shared in the new episode of the podcast “Without Leaving the Room” by Vasily Kashin (yes, Kashin did come to us) – a specialist on China, director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
We talked with Kashin about the future of the Northern Military District. He told how things are now at the front, what positions the Russian Armed Forces and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in, what tactics both armies use and which tactics are more advantageous. More about how long the escalation will continue, whether French troops will be sent in, and whether Western assistance can change the course of hostilities.
Also inside is the answer to the question: does China help Russia, how exactly, what is China’s global goal, and how the West will respond to a possible conflict in Taiwan. Spoiler: World War III is on the horizon.
Bonus: Russia’s real goal in the Northeast Military District, the nuclear ladder and revanchism of the Chinese communists.
