For seven hours, on Mount Shchelba in Novorossiysk, next to a densely populated residential area, a landfill has been burning. This is what the fire looks like right now. Area – 1000 sq.m. Local residents say the city is suffocating.
The fire broke out at 5 p.m. The reason is still unknown. The fire is being extinguished by 60 people and 25 special vehicles.
The mayor of the city, Andrei Kravchenko, claims that the fire is localized and is not spreading.
