Peluza Nord Rapid explains the boycott of Pancu's presentation: “It represents yet another abuse”

The return of Daniel Pancu to the technical bench of those from Rapid it was supposed to be one of the most important moments of the summer in Giulesti. The event organized by the club for the presentation of the new coach was marked by the absence of an important part of the gallery, after the members of Peluza Nord refused to enter the stadium.
Just a few hours after the incident, the leaders of the gallery published an extensive statement explaining the reasons for the protest. Under these conditions, the gallery decided not to enter the stadium and to welcome Daniel Pancu outside the arena.
Why didn't Peluza Nord enter Pancu's presentation
Supporters claim that the decision was taken after the measures imposed on access to the stadium. According to the press release, numerous Gendarmerie forces were mobilized around the arena, and access to the lawn was made through filters similar to those at official matches.
In the message published on social networks, the supporters explain that the event had been prepared a few days before and that their intention was to attend the official presentation.
“Peluza Nord Rapid wants to clarify some aspects related to the event organized today in Giulesti, on the occasion of Daniel Pancu's return home.
As I announced a few days ago, I invited all rapidist supporters to be present at 19:00, in front of the stadium, to celebrate the return to Giulesti of one of the symbols of this club.
The surprise came at the moment of access to the lawn, where the gendarmes installed metal fences to direct the supporters to full body checks, which included removing their shoes.
We believe that these measures represent yet another abuse directed against Romanian supporters.
After the decision not to enter the arena, the members of Peluza Nord reorganized in the parking lot near the stadium.
“Considering the above, it was decided on the spot to reorganize in the parking lot next to the stadium, where we properly welcomed the new coach, Daniel Pancu.”
Before the press conference, the patron Dan Șucu went down among the supporters and tried to convince them to participate in the event, but without success. Peluza Nord Rapid was and remains with the symbols of Rapid and all those who love this club.
Respect for supporters must exist both in and out of the stands. FREEDOM FOR SUPPORTERS!”, it is stated in the statement of Peluza Nord.
