Adel Bettaieb (29 years old) officially left FC Argeș and became free of contract, after the agreement between the two parties was no longer extended.
The announcement was made by Daniel Stanciu, the Director of Image and Communication of the Pitesti club.
Daniel Stanciu officially confirmed Bettaieb's departure from FC Argeș
The official of FC Argeș spoke about the situation of the striker with dual French and Tunisian citizenship.
“Yes, he left. His contract expired. I don't know where it goes“, said Daniel Stanciu, according to digisport.ro.
The split comes despite the fact that, in recent weeks, Pitesti officials were optimistic that they would convince the Tunisian to continue.
However, the negotiations did not materialize, and the striker remained free of the contract.
He impressed in the Superliga
Bettaieb was one of the outstanding strikers in the current Superliga season, author of some spectacular goals for FC Argeș. The striker is quoted by Transfermarkt at around 700,000 euros.
Before arriving in Romania, Adel Bettaieb played for UR La Louvière and F91 Dudelange. With the Luxembourg team he won the title and played in European cups.
Later, the striker arrived in Turkey, where he wore the shirts of Ümraniyespor and Boluspor. In the summer of 2024, he signed with Cluj University, and since last July he has been playing for FC Argeș.
