Rasmus Poulsen (39 years old), former coach of SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, who was supposed to take over the coordination of the Junior Center of Corona Brașov, accepted the offer to become the head coach of Krim Ljubljana, a team that played in the Champions League this season.

Rasmus Poulsen became the second coach of SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea in 2023 and, a year and a half later, he took over the interim. In December 2024, the Traian Hall team announced that Poulsen would be head coach until the end of the 2025–26 season, but the team management changed its mind and parted with him, at the end of the 2024-2025 edition, to make room for Florentin Pera.

Although he was supposed to go to Brasov, Rasmus Poulsen will be the new coach of Krim Ljubljana

After staying on the sidelines for a while, Poulsen should have coordinated the activity of Corona Brașov's Junior Center from the following season. But, in the meantime, the Dane received an offer he couldn't refuse, and on Monday, May 18, Corona Brașov announced that it respects and supports Poulsen's decision, “considering it a unique opportunity in a coach's career.”

A week later, Krim Ljubljana, a group that played in the Champions League this season, announced the appointment of Rasmus Poulsen as the head coach of the Slovenian team.

“A coach with international experience and a modern vision for the development of the team and players,” said Krim, who announced that Poulsen has a contract valid for the 2026-2027 season.

“This is a club with an incredible tradition and a clear identity. I come here with a lot of respect for everything that has already been built, but also with a strong desire to help the team take the next step. People can expect a lot of hard work, attention to detail and a major focus on the individual and collective development of the players“, Poulsen said.

In the 2025-2026 season, Krim Ljubljana placed 7th in group B with a record of two wins, one draw and 11 losses. In the round, the Slovenians pulled off a surprise and beat CSM Bucharest, score 31-27, but the “tigresses” got their revenge in the return: 26-20.
