The K1 karting track in Opole changes ownership. A proven investment awaits

Karting K1 in Opole is an example of a family business that was created out of passion for motorsport. Tomasz Gucwa and his partner, hobby rally drivers, started in 1999 in a small hall at ul. Warehouse. Growing customer interest meant that in 2008 they moved their business to a new location, building everything from scratch. From the very beginning, they focused on the quality of the equipment and track – the inspiration came from a visit to the track in Chorzów, where, as Gucwa recalls, the fleet was not the best. This experience shaped the standards of the Opole track.

A modern facility with extensive infrastructure
Today K1 is a hall with an area of 2.5 thousand m2. m2, to which there is an adjacent external track (2,000 m2). The total length of the tracks is 550 metersand asphalt surface provides better traction than concrete. The facility is equipped with 30 go-karts of four types — from models for children measuring at least 100 cm, through junior go-karts, to the powerful RIMO Maxi with a power of 18 HP, intended for advanced users.
On the premises there is a restaurant with a garden, a car repair shop, two parking lots and a patio overlooking the track. The installed photovoltaics and energy storage allow you to optimize your business costs.
A ready-made business for takeover – a full package for the investor
The sale offer includes the entire company, not just the property or parts of the infrastructure. The future owner will receive not only the facility, but also an extensive customer base, a go-kart fleet, a restaurant, a workshop, two parking lots, as well as a brand built over 25 years. As Paulina Gucwa, the owner's daughter, emphasizes: – Nothing needs renovationalthough of course there is always something to refresh. The only thing that really depends on the buyer is his vision for the place.

Customers, nurseries and cooperation with business
K1 is not only a race track – it is a place that attracts both individual customers and companies organizing events, integration events or birthday parties. Famous brands have used the hall, including: Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Żywiec, Mercedes and Toyota. They work in the facility karting schools for various age groupsand the track cooperates with local schools and MOSiR. The users include both children and seniors – the youngest driver was 3.5 years old, the oldest was 73 years old.
Women constitute an increasingly large group of customers. – They even have more enthusiasm than men – notes Paulina Gucwa.
Why sales? Family decision
The reason for sale is typical for family businesses – the owners want to retire, and the younger generation has other career plans. — A person does not get younger with each passing year. It is better to simply sell the company to retire peacefully, explains Tomasz Gucwa.
A ready-made business that still generates profits
For over 20 years, tens of thousands of customers have visited the track. The company operates continuously and the facility does not require any capital expenditure. “This business is still generating profits,” the owner emphasizes.
There is interest in the offer, although – as is the case with specialized facilities – the decision to purchase takes time. The new owner will receive a ready-made, proven business model and the opportunity to further develop under his own brand.
