Incident at the debut of Max Korzh's concert at the National Arena. Firefighters intervened

More than 42,000 people attend the concert of Belarusian rapper Max Korzh on Saturday night at the National Arena. At the beginning of the show, a pyrotechnic moment confused the firefighters present at the stadium.

“Following the pyrotechnic moment prepared by the organizer at the opening of the event, combustible materials that were part of the props of the artist's team were ignited. The flame was extinguished with fire extinguishers by ISUBIF firefighters from the device, without endangering the running of the event or the integrity of the spectators,” said the spokesperson of ISU Bucharest – Ilfov, Daniel Vasile.

At the same time, the medical crews engaged in the mission at the National Arena stadium managed 15 medical cases until 20:00.

“In none of the situations was transport to the hospital necessary for any person. Most of the interventions were for lipothymia, excoriation and accusations at the level of the lower limbs. Inside the stadium, SMURD medical teams and extinguishing intervention teams are located, in the access/evacuation, stage and tribune sectors,” the authorities said.

The spokeswoman of the Romanian Gendarmerie, Ana Maria Burchi, said on Saturday that fans from more than 50 countries are expected at the concert, and the authorities have taken all security measures around the stadium.

“The National Arena will welcome more than 42,000 participants to the concert of the artist Max Korzh. The MAI structures have ordered integrated public order measures to ensure the safety of all participants.”

“The specificity of this event lies in its international character, with participants from more than 50 countries present. The Gendarmerie and the Police have organized preventive actions since the past few days, in the most important points of the Capital. Informative materials with recommendations were made in several languages, posted on the institutional channels”, explained Ana Maria Burchi before the start of the concert.

At the scene, equestrian teams of the Gendarmerie are present for intervention, as well as dogs specialized in detecting explosive materials and prohibited substances.

Also, at the access control points, technical equipment was placed for the identification and scanning of biometric data.

In addition, drones and a helicopter will monitor access points from the air.
