Hossam Hassan, the coach of Egypt's national football team, has announced the squad for this year's summer World Cup, which will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush and Hamza Abdelkarim are some of the names that will participate in the final tournament in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

Mohamed Salah will captain Egypt at this summer's final tournament. The 33-year-old striker, who will leave Liverpool at the end of the season after nine years, has scored 67 goals in 115 appearances for the national team.
Egypt will also rely on another major offensive weapon, Omar Marmoushthe Manchester City player, who arrives at the tournament as one of the fastest rising African players in world football.
One of the biggest surprises in the batch was his inclusion Hamza Abdelkarimconsidered a young hope of Barcelona.

Currently ranked among the strongest national teams in Africa, Egypt will participate in only the fourth World Cup in its history.
The “Pharaohs” have been assigned to Group G, where they will face Belgium, New Zealand and Iran. Their opening game is on June 15 against Belgium in what is expected to be the toughest challenge of the group stage.
