First quarter 2026 results, released on Wednesday after the trading session, turned out to be better than market forecasts.
In the period ended March 31, the group generated PLN 3.64 billion in revenue, which means an increase of 3%. on a year-to-year basis. Adjusted EBITDA was PLN 847 million (an increase of 4.7%), operating profit amounted to PLN 425.6 million (an increase of 3.7%), and net profit shot up by as much as 54.1%, reaching PLN 133.6 million.
Telecommunications is back in the game
For analysts and brokers, the most important fact is that after many quarters of stagnation, the EBITDA result of the core retail and business businesses increased (including Polkomtel, Netia, Polsat Box). This became possible thanks to savings and higher bills from customers. Average household income (ARPU) increased by 5.8%. up to PLN 82.2, and from business customers by 3.8%. (up to PLN 1.57 thousand).
Although the total number of individual customers decreased by 120,000. (up to 5.69 million), which the network explains, among others, outflow from traditional satellite television, subscribers buy additional services. The number of active services increased by 300,000. to the level of 13.59 million – broadband Internet became the driving force. A new agreement with the Cellnex group will also help in optimizing costs in subsequent periods, which will allow Plus to share masts, among others. with the Play network to develop 5G infrastructure.

Sport defends television, and green energy breaks records
In the media segment, the most important event was the extension of the rights to broadcast the Europa League and the UEFA Conference League until 2031. This will allow fans to keep paid IP TV packages. Telewizja Polsat's revenues from advertising and sponsoring increased by 1.2%. to PLN 324 million, despite strong competition in the schedule from the Winter Olympic Games.
Cyfrowy Polsat also achieved good results in the clean energy area. Thanks to the expansion of production capacity, the group produced 18 percent more. more electricity (including 176 GWh from wind).
