The exemplary children's opera studio of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater named after D. A. Hvorostovsky “O-studio” will again take part in the Moscow children's arts festival “Sky”. This was reported in the press service of the theater.

The Krasnoyarsk studio was invited to the festival for the second time. In 2025, the artists presented in Moscow the musical fairy tale “The Dreamer and His Friends” to the music of composer Evgenia Teryokhina. After a successful performance, the organizers called the team again. This year, “O-Studio” will open the festive program with the play “The Blue Bird” based on the play by Maurice Maeterlinck. The music for the production was also written by Evgenia Teryokhina.

According to studio head Natalia Tsyupa, the team is now actively preparing the play for an outdoor show. The production has to be adapted to the new stage, different venue sizes, exit points and decorations.

“We are now preparing intensively. To say that it is easy will not work. The realities of the new stage, its size, new exit points, the location of the scenery, everything is unusual. And now, already knowing and imagining what awaits us, we are adapting our play “The Blue Bird” for traveling,” said Natalia Tsyupa.

She noted that 40 participants will go to Moscow, while almost 70 people are involved in the performance on the theater’s stationary stage. New scenery was also prepared for the trip and the choreography was changed. Young artists will perform in Krasnoyarsk in June. On June 7, on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater “O-Studio” will show the musical fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood”.

Performances by young artists will take place on May 30 and 31 at the Muzeon Arts Park. The festival is traditionally held on Children's Day. The Sky Festival is considered one of the largest children's arts festivals in the country. It combines theater, circus, music, dance, science, literature, art and architecture. The artistic director of the festival is People's Artist of Russia Evgeny Mironov.
