“In the last stage we will be involved in the fight for the title, but it is not our job”

Cătălin Cîrjan, the captain of Dinamo, reacted after the “dogs” drew with CFR Cluj, score 0-0, in stage #9 of the Superliga play-off.
With this result, the “dogs” ensured their presence in the Conference League playoff, which they will play against FCSB or FC Botoșani. The captain of Dinamo did not choose who he would like to meet in the most important match of the season and also talked about the match of the next stage when he could be an important pawn in the fight for the title.
Cătălin Cîrjan: “We look back and see progress. We are on target”
“We really wanted to win tonight. Unfortunately, we couldn't score. It was an open game, both teams had chances. Unfortunately, only a draw tonight and we remain in 4th place.
We look back and we see progress from last year and we started this play-off badly, then we recovered and we are on target and playing the play-off.
We don't think we are playing the playoff with FCSB. We think we have one more match against U Cluj, let's be healthy and then we'll see who we'll play. In the last stage we will be involved in the fight for the title, but it is not our job. We want to reach Europe and I don't know what will happen in Cluj. It's been a very long season, we feel physical fatigue and pain, but that's no excuse. Those who play must enter the field and take Dinamo to Europe. For now we don't know what George Pușcaș has. He felt something and we will see in the coming days.
It makes a big difference when we have the fans with us. It feels like this. It's not my job to talk about the tensions between the gallery and management, my job is to do my job on the field. I hope from the bottom of my heart that everything will be fine at Dinamo.
I don't want to choose who we play in the play-off. The two will have this match and whoever deserves it will be there. We have to focus on ourselves, be at a good level and be ready at match time”, said Cătălin Cîrjan at the end of the game.
