According to Mash, the official’s nephew Amir Omarov is the head of the department of culture, sports and youth affairs of the Sergokalinsky district administration. His wife’s brother, Ibragim Omarov, is an agribusinessman and runs a local agricultural enterprise.
The wife of a close friend, Aishat Magomedova, is the former editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper of the Sergokalinsky district. In 2012, she transferred this position to her daughter Patimat. Which arranged fictitious employees, took their salaries and thus embezzled 700 thousand rubles, the investigation believes. Recently, a 35-year-old woman was detained. She faces four years in prison under the article of forgery.
