Insults in parent chat resulted in a fine for a Norilsk woman

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a resident of Norilsk was awarded compensation for moral damages for insults in a parental chat.

One of its participants sued the woman and stated in the lawsuit that she posted text messages “of an offensive nature in an indecent form” addressed to him in the general correspondence, thereby causing him moral suffering. The parent asked to recover 200,000 rubles from the offender.

When considering the dispute, the magistrate found the woman guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Art. 5.61 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (insult). Taking into account this circumstance and the evidence presented in the case, the city courtcame to the conclusion that the plaintiff suffered moral damage as a result of the defendant’s unlawful actions.

“Taking into account the nature and degree of moral suffering of the plaintiff, his individual characteristics, the actual circumstances of the infliction of moral damage, the requirements of reasonableness and fairness, the court partially satisfied the demands and recovered compensation in the amount of 10,000 rubles. RThe decision has entered into legal force,” said the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
