A mother and her child, crushed on the pedestrian crossing by a car driven by a 79-year-old man

Images have emerged of a serious accident on Monday, May 11, on Republicii Boulevard in Eforie Sud, where a woman and her child were hit on the pedestrian crossing by a 79-year-old driver.
The mother and the child had been legally crossing the road, according to police reports, notes DottoTv, which broadcast images of the moment of impact.
“On May 11, at around 3:30 p.m., police officers from the Road Safety Service were alerted to the occurrence of a road accident on Republicii Boulevard in Eforie Sud. The first investigations showed that a 79-year-old man was driving a car on Republicii Boulevard in Eforie Sud, and at one point he allegedly hit two pedestrians, who would have moved on the pedestrian marking”, stated IPJ Constanța.
As a result of the impact, the pedestrians, a 28-year-old woman and a 6-year-old minor, were injured.
The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result was negative.
The police have drawn up a criminal case, and investigations continue to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
