SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea – Gloria Bistrița is the final of the Romanian Cup in women's handball. Vâlcencele were the first to get the ticket for the last act, after beating Minaur Baia Mare 34-27 in the Final Four played right in the home of Baimăren. In the second semifinal, Gloria Bistrita beat SCM Craiova 36-29, at the end of a duel decided in the second half.
The first match of the Romanian Cup Final Four pitted SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, 4th place in the Flower League, and Minaur Baia Mare, 8th place in the domestic championship, face to face. Oltence advanced to the final, after a clear success, with a 7 goal difference.
The girls from Gloria Bistrita also beat SCM Craiova by 7 goals, after a better first half by Oltence, who led before the break with three goals. Bistrita settled the situation in the second half, leaving no room for surprises, and on Sunday will fight with Vâlcea for the trophy.
