Cristian Chivu struck in Serie A! Inter beat her on Parmascore 2-0, and the Romanian became the mathematical champion with three stages before the end, right in his first season on the “nerazzurri” bench.

Inter needed just a draw to close out the title race after AC Milan lost at Sassuolo and Napoli drew with Como. The victory with Parma, however, put an end to any emotions.

Chivu's performance generated reactions from Romania, and the messages from domestic football were enthusiastic.

Ioan Andone: “Mircea will also surpass us!”

Ioan Andone, the former technician of Dinamo, was impressed by Chivu's course and had a categorical verdict, in a telephone intervention at GSP Live Special:

It's something I don't understand, honestly. We all went through this, I coached at Dinamo and didn't manage to win any trophies. I saw how hard it is, you learn the trade, you gain experience.

He, with no real experience at a high level, little experience in the second team, after a bad season in which they lost the Cup and the Champions League final, think about coming to coach from Parma after only 19 games. Chivu has something special, not just because he is Romanian and played for the national team.

I say from now on that he will become the greatest coach in Romanian football. Mircea will also surpass her.

Chivu can also surpass Mourinho. He has an enormous back club. He didn't come from somewhere else, he didn't fall from the moon, he was a player, a coach at Primavera and after 6-7 months he came back and this is how he managed to mobilize the players. That means a lot, it's a special sense.”

National team: “The first Romanian coach to be a champion in the Top 5”

And the Romanian national team reacted after Chivu's performance:

“Cristian Chivu, champion in Italy with Internazionale Milano! Congratulations to the first Romanian coach to win a title in the Top 5 European championships!”

Ciprian Marica: “As if I had played too!”

Ciprian Marica, former colleague of Chivu at the national team, sent a message through the Facebook page:

Congratulations, champion! I am as happy for you as if I had played too! Amazing performance for you, but also for Romanian football!

Well done, Cristi Chivu! Forza Inter”

Emil Săndoi: “It was seen since the age of 18”

And Emil Săndoi spoke on the GSP Live Special show about Chivu's beginnings:

“I am extremely happy for him. I was also his teammate for a short time in Craiova, and then I was also his coach, but only for one stage, until he transferred to Ajax.

You should know that he is a man of high quality, a cerebral boy since he was 18 years old and came to Craiova, you could see from then that he is an intelligent player. Of course, through the experience gained afterwards, he reached Inter's junior teams, then Parma, where he made a fine figure.

After that, this opportunity arose, and he, arriving at Inter, managed to win the Champions League, but also championships and cups with Inter (no from the position of a player). It was an advantage for him that he was a man of the club, highly valued and integrated there.”
