The duel between Joventut Badalona and Unicaja Malaga, from the 29th stage of the Spanish League, was suspended at halftime, at the score of 53-33, due to technical problems. The guests left the hall and went to the airport to fly to Malaga this evening.

Joventut Badalona – Unicaja Malaga was announced to be one of the derbies of the 29th round of the powerful Spanish championship. The two teams are neighbors in the standings, occupying the 7th and 8th places in the ACB League.

Joventut Badalona – Unicaja Malaga, suspended due to technical problems

The reality on the ground was not as expected. The hosts dominated the first half, took advantage of the modest play of the visitors and, at the break, led 53-33. More than the score itself, the match was affected by some technical problems with the electronic scoreboard.

As a result, the match started almost 30 minutes late, and the problems continued after the start of the match. At halftime, the game was suspended for the moment, but no solution was found to remedy the situation.

So, after another period of waiting, in which spirits heated up both among the members of the two camps and among the fans, the match was suspended for good. One of the main reasons was that Unicaja Malaga's players could not wait any longer as they had tickets booked for a flight later this evening.

Before leaving the field, Ibon Navarro, the coach of the visitors, applauded the Badalona supporters, who responded with a reciprocal gesture. The officials of the two teams, together with the leaders of the ACB League, will look for the best solution to reschedule the second half.
