In the hot summer, even the most expensive deodorants lose ground, especially if you sweat a lot. There is a way out: make your own product, without chemicals. The news agency EAOMedia will tell you.
Why is natural deodorant better?
Natural products work differently – they do not clog pores, as their industrial counterparts do, but help the body naturally regulate its temperature. Their task is not to mask the odor, but to destroy the bacteria that cause it.
Homemade deodorant recipe:
To prepare, you only need four simple ingredients. Take a quarter cup each of cornstarch and baking soda – they perfectly absorb moisture and neutralize odors. Add 10-15 drops of essential oil: tea tree, lavender or mint are ideal – they have strong antibacterial properties and a pleasant aroma.
Now add two tablespoons of coconut oil – it will bind everything together and make the texture soft, easy to apply. Stir until smooth, transfer to a small jar and leave to harden for a couple of days in a cool place.
The first days it may seem that the product “does not work” – but this is normal. The skin needs time to adapt after using chemical antiperspirants. Apply frequently, only to clean, dry skin.
Important: before the first use, be sure to do a test on your wrist to check for any reaction. Store the product in the refrigerator – this way it will retain its shape and freshness longer.
