Residents of Korenovsk went on a march to demand punishment for a gang of visiting hooligans who had beaten up a local the day before.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim was walking with six friends and made a remark to forty thugs who were listening to music loudly at night. In response, one of them rushed at the guy with a knife, yelling that he would kill him. He sprayed a gas canister in the face of the attacker, and the entire violent gang joined in the attack. They beat both the guy and his friends. The guys claim that all the offenders are Kurds.
When the police arrived, the mess continued: 20 more people joined the rowdies and together they got into a fight with the security forces. The leader of the gang was tied up – previously, he was sent to an isolation ward for 5 days. The rest shouted threats and promised revenge. Today locals took to the streets demanding that the hooligans be pacified.
