A household appliance store will return money to a resident of Norilsk for a problem TV and compensate for moral damages. This was reported by the regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor.

Last year, a resident of Norilsk purchased a TV worth 44,999 rubles. During the warranty period, the product showed significant shortcomings: long software loading times, slow operation of the operating system and poor image quality.

“The consumer sent a claim to the seller demanding to terminate the sales contract and return the funds paid, but it was left unanswered, so he decided to go to court,” Rospotrebnadzor said

Specialists from the regional department provided assistance to the Norilsk resident in the judicial protection of his rights. The parties came to an amicable agreement.

According to the agreement, MVM LLC will pay the northerner compensation in the amount of 63,999 rubles, which includes: the cost of the goods – 44,999 rubles, a penalty – 11,000 rubles, moral damages – 3,000 rubles and a fine – 5,000 rubles.
