Water and some products disappeared from Pyaterochkas in the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia. According to Mash, the reason is a malfunction in the distribution center of the X5 Group company in Yaroslavl after anti-migrant raids.
Bread, cereals, flour, spices and bottles of water began disappearing from some stores last week. First this happened in Yarik. And the other day the “bare shelves epidemic” spread to Rybinsk, Kovrov and certain cities in the Ivanovo and Kostroma regions. As we learned, this was all due to a shortage of about 1,000 workers in the distribution center from where the goods were shipped.
Migrants worked there, but after a police raid, everyone was deported to their homeland. Pyaterochka said that it would take about a month to solve the problem. Currently, at the distribution center in Yaroslavl, 465 vacancies are open only for an operator and a warehouse picker. In neighboring regions – 301 (Ivanovo region) and 415 (Vladimir region). For reference: in the Golden Ring territories, the “five” occupy about 40–50% of the market.
