FCSB – Petrol 3-1. Darius Olaru (28 years old), the captain of FCSB, drew the conclusions in the flash-interview, after the clear success in the 6th stage of the play-out, score 3-1, against Petrolul. He spoke with regret about the sudden departure of Mirel Radoi, to Gaziantep, the 10th place in Turkey, admitting that he would have liked the technician to personally come to the base to inform him that he will not continue.

Rădoi left immediately after the success with Farul, from the beginning of the week, after he decided to pursue a much more advantageous offer from a financial point of view. He let the players know with a simple WhatsApp message before packing his bags and flying to Turkey.

“It was a shock,” admitted Darius Olaru, who said it was a tough breakup but remains optimistic now, at the end of the season, even without a head coach on the bench.

Darius Olaru's reaction, after the success with Petrolul: “We wanted to continue with mister Rădoi, but life goes on”

“A match that we knew how to manage, we tried to do what we prepared in training, we are happy that almost everything worked out, we had several chances to score. All in all, I think we deserved the victory. We played on Monday, we were free on Tuesday, we had training on Wednesday and Thursday.

There were more difficult days, we wanted to continue with mister Rădoi, but life goes on, we have to find our motivation, we have a goal we are fighting for, the playoff, the first time with the 7th-8th place, depending on who we will play.

Somehow, I wish he would come to our base, talk to us, we would all like that, he informed us in a message. These separations, all the time when the team is doing well, are harder, but we have to continue to prepare no matter who comes, if Filip and Alin remain, we will prepare the same, we are professionals, even if there are more difficult moments, we know how to manage them.

It was a shock, somehow for a short period of time we all felt that it was normal, that's what I felt, at least. Like I said, it was a shock, we'll see.

Honestly, I'm Romanian, I grew up with him, I saw him as a player, he trained at U21 and with the big team, he's a very good coach, very pleasant training, all his way of working. I learned a lot, even if it was a short time.

Like I said, someone will probably come. I don't want to speak out. The team has quality, we have to keep motivating ourselves, we have to train well, we have a goal to work for”, said Darius Olaru, after the match, on the “Footbal Show” show, from Prima Sport.
