Many gardeners simply adore spathiphyllum. There are many signs associated with this plant, and when it refuses to bloom or withers before our eyes, it becomes a real headache, especially for those who believe in its magical powers.
If your “female happiness” does not have white “sails”, do not rush to panic. Just one feeding will make the spathiphyllum bloom, says a florist with 20 years of experience named Svetlana in her blog (18+).
How to prepare a “life-giving drink” for a flower
Take 2 liters of settled water at room temperature, add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, mix well and water with this mixture once a week for a month.
The result will not be long in coming
Firstly, the tips of the leaves will stop drying and turning black. Secondly, the root system will become healthier, and then, rest assured, the long-awaited flower stalks will appear.
Transplantation with benefit
It happens that the plant becomes stubborn and does not bloom even after feeding. Then replant the spathiphyllum. Take a new pot only 3–4 cm wider than the roots, and be sure to add expanded clay to the bottom.
When replanting, sprinkle the roots generously with cinnamon powder. It takes about a tablespoon for an adult bush, a teaspoon for a young bush. Another spoon (teaspoon) can be added directly to the drainage layer before filling the soil.
Cinnamon is a powerful natural antiseptic; it disinfects wounds on the roots and stimulates their growth.
Feeding during flowering
Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon directly onto the soil in the pot, cover lightly with fresh potting soil, and water as usual. Try this spice in action, and your “female happiness” will begin to bloom excitedly!
